Refrigeration Engineer

Overview

My brand new refrigeration and air conditioning client is looking to continue their expansion from when they started trading 5 years ago.  They already have a very healthy bank of well known clients, engineers already out on the road, and a back office support set up to aid their employees.  The company were born out of wanting to offer clients more than current companies do, and that is always making sure the client is kept in the loop and making sure the engineers are always looked after.  They take pride in their family feel to the company where you’re treated like a person and not just another cog in the machine.

 

Due to expansion they are recruiting for a refrigeration engineer, you will be:-

 

•  Providing service, maintenance, repairs and a little bit of installation on commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment (full training on the industrial side given)
• Working on some air conditioning (10 of the time) in domestic and commercial settings
• Working with a lot of client within the food industry in farming, agriculture, and food production
• Covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and some parts of South Lincolnshire

 

 

Skills needed to be a refrigeration engineer:-

 

• Living within 30 miles of the office in central Suffolk
• Experience with service and maintenance on commercial refrigeration equipment is essential
• Having any industrial refrigeration experience or ammonia experience would be beneficial but not essential as you will get training
• Having a CSCS, PASMA, IPAF, or IOSH would also be beneficial

 

Salary and benefits of a refrigeration engineer:-

 

• 35-40k basic salary depending on experience and qualifications
• Van, phone, fuel card
• 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
• Call out and overtime available
