Overview

My client is a well established manufacturer or spares, parts and equipment used in the very buoyant sector or oil drilling.  They are based in northern Scotland and can boast over 30 years of successful trading as well as being part of a larger group company giving them the best support and cache in the industry.  At the same time they also selling industrial chemical that the drilling industry uses, but…. So do lots of other sectors they have found out…. Food production, farming, fish farming, transport, manufacturing….. there are SO many applications.

 

Due to expansion they are recruiting for an Industrial Chemical Sales Executive, you will be:-

 

  • Working remotely from where you live and keeping in contact with the office in Aberdeen
  • Selling the company’s full range of industrial chemicals as well as a some of the spares and parts used in the oil drilling sectors
  • Selling industrial chemicals to the oil drilling sector, the agricultural sector, farming, fisheries, transport, manufacturing  and food production
  • Selling to clients across England then that spreading into Scotland
  • Helping grow the industrial cleaning chemicals division of the company that works in tandem to the oil drilling spares

 

Salary and Benefits of a chemical sales executive:-

 

  • 30-35k basic salary
  • 3-5% commission depending on targets hit
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Phone, lap top, car allowance
  • Further training on industrial chemicals and sectors if you aren’t from this direct background

 

Skills / experience Needed to be a Chemical Sales Executive:-

 

  • Sales experience within industrial chemicals or industrial machinery would be very beneficial
  • They would also interview people that have sold into the following sectors – oil drills, industrial gas, food production, agriculture
  • A UK driving licence would be needed
  • You need to be a sales executive with a great track record and the determination to sell and close the deals
  • You can be living anywhere in the UK, obviously an advantage if you are living close to solid industrial businesses that the chemicals can be sold to – living in the north west or Yorkshire area would be an advantage but is not essential
